Dojo Rise are an alternative reggae rock band fusing 90s-inspired heavy soul funk with modern reggae rock. Formed in Aldinga, South Australia (Ngaltingga, Kaurna Yerta) and now based between Aldinga and Byron Bay NSW, the trio bring big bass, bigger hooks and an uplifting live show built to get every room moving.

Since their debut in 2021, Dojo Rise have earned national airplay on Triple J, Double J and ABC Radio, and won the People’s Choice Award (Blues & Roots) at the 2023 South Australian Music Awards.

“Really sinking into that Dub Reggae and Soul sound. They are building the foundation, I think within this country, for that sound, and I absolutely love it.” - Tyrone Pynor, Triple J

Led by songwriters Adam Blesing (vocals, bass) and Sean Dedrick (vocals, guitar, production), with Ben Todd (drums), Dojo Rise have played festivals including WOMADelaide, Woodford Folk Festival and Pranafest, and supported The Black Seeds and Six60, alongside sharing stages with Michael Franti & Spearhead, Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Sons of Zion, Skunkhour and Tijuana Cartel.

“Dojo Rise may only be a trio, but the breadth of their sound was rich and guttural while exuding continuous finesse.” - Anita Kertes, Hifiway.live

With ten singles and three EPs behind them, Dojo Rise’s debut album lands in 2027, led by the singles “I Was Thinking”, “Ruby” and “Through The Mirror”.
